At least 31 people were killed in a bombing Thursday in Pakistan, Mardan, in the north-west.The bomber blew himself up at a passing military parade, consisting of recruits from the Pakistani army. The event took place in an area of the city controlled by the army.According to BBC News, the suicide bomber who blew himself was a teenager who wore a school uniform. Also according to British media, wearing the uniform of a college located in the area controlled by the military would have to be responsible for the explosion to pass six checkpoints
The blast would also at least two dozen wounded.
According to CNN, the Taliban in Pakistan have claimed responsibility and said that they will continue as the Pakistani military support the United States.
