Berlusconi could be held for pimping

Milan prosecutors will request Wednesday to open a trial against Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for pimping.
The Italian prime minister is accused of having paid for sex with a prostitute minor of 17 years.
Silvio Berlusconi is also suspected of abusing his office to release this young Moroccan woman, nicknamed Rubacuori Ruby (Ruby the thief of hearts), then arrested for theft, and stifling any revelations about the case.
The Ruby case
The facts were made public several months ago after the arrest last May of the girl by the Milan police.
According to Italian media, she was released after intervention by Silvio Berlusconi, who claimed she was a close associate of President Hosni Mubarak. He also sent in this regard at the police in Milan Nicole Minetti, elected his party in the region.
Ruby, now aged 18, admitted that he had visited the property of Mr Berlusconi at least one occasion, but says he never had sex with the President of the Council. She just said they received 7,000 euros in aid from the head of government.
The latter protested his innocence and vows he never paid for sexual favors. He only acknowledged having called the police after the arrest of Ruby, but says he just wanted to help a troubled person.
Milan prosecutors must decide Tuesday whether the trial should cover both aspects of this case: the crime of power and relations with a minor prostitute.
In recent years, "il Cavaliere" was challenged on several occasions for alleged adventures with young women, especially during parties held in his villa in Arcore, near Milan, and possible appointments with prostitutes .
In 2009, his second wife, Veronica Lario, announced their divorce due to the presence of Berlusconi in the 18 years of an Italian model and its taste for young women.
