Montreal: A bank robber arrested by police in Laval

A man wanted for bank robberies has been arrested on the night of Friday to Saturday by agents of the Laval police.
The man in his fifties was arrested in a motel Jarry in Montreal. This man committed a dozen armed robberies in Montreal and Laval in December and January.

The thief could appear Saturday or early this week at the courthouse in Laval.
Bank robberies are up in the metropolis. They have almost doubled in two years, reports the site RueFrontenac.com. In 2010, 131 robberies were committed against financial institutions in Montreal.
