Canale and Carbonneau took over in Sags

The Chicoutimi Chicoutimi confirmed Monday night the appointment of Guy Carbonneau as head coach. The assistant coach, Marc-Etienne Hubert, had taken over from the dismissal of Richard Martel and had posted a record of three wins in as many games.
Guy Carbonneau will be behind the bench on Wednesday night when the Sagueneens face the Drillers in the first of three clashes in Abitibi. It will be his first game behind the bench of a team of Junior Hockey League Quebec Major, who has led the Montreal Canadiens for nearly three seasons (2006-2009). Carbonneau has kept a record of 124 wins and 106 losses with the oldest NHL franchise.
Moreover, as the regulations stipulated in the QMJHL, Guy Carbonneau will hold the positions of coach and governor. He will therefore resign, the Vice-President, Hockey, Marc Desforges, who will take over the office of Governors of the Circuit Gilles Courteau.
Finally, the Saguenéens announced that Jos Canale will act as general manager until the end of this season.
