Gay: "We had to stand firm"

(Pittsburgh) Intractable for much of the first half, the Steelers defense has allowed several long games the Jets from the third quarter yesterday.
LaMarr Woodley felt however that it is the opponent who had raised their game, and it was not his unit who had played poorly. "They hit a lot of big plays and quarterback (Mark Sanchez) has found that his receivers were free. Nothing has changed at halftime. "
Two games before William Gay will mark a touchdown after a bag of cornerback Ike Taylor, Woodley had also plated Sanchez behind the line of scrimmage. It was the 10th sack in six playoff games for the linebacker.
Woodley became the first player in history to get at least one sack in each of his first six playoff games, and the 10th to get 10 in the playoffs. Despite this feat, preferred Woodley about the success of his team.
"This is my fourth season and my second Super Bowl is an incredible feeling! We must finish the job cons. It's a great victory, and we should enjoy it, but tomorrow, we will focus on our last game of the season (Super Bowl). "
As Woodley, Gay Sanchez praised the attack and the Jets. "The Jets have a very good attack. Their training is almost entirely composed of former first-round pick. So we knew they would bounce after the first half. It should stand firm, and that's what we have done to win. But I can tell you one thing, Sanchez is for the playoffs. It is for that! "Said Gay.
Pouncey injured
Only downside for the Steelers, the center Maurkice Pouncey left the game in the first quarter, suffered a sprained ankle. The rookie is probably the best offensive lineman the Steelers, who has been named to the Pro Bowl. Pouncey was replaced by Doug Legursky, but provides play the Super Bowl.
"I suffered the same injury in the past and I know what to do to heal quickly. I'm sure I can play this game, "he said.
There is another injury that should concern the Steelers by Troy Polamalu. Slowed by discomfort in the Achilles tendon for several weeks, half of security is clearly not the same player since the playoffs began. He has protected the deep zone for almost the entire game, and it was not as versatile than normal.
Aaron Rodgers cons and the passing game of the Green Bay Packers, the Steelers have to rely on a Polamalu shape to win the Lombardi trophy seventh in their history.
Brown, the hero
Freshman Antonio Brown took a pass from 58 yards to stun the Baltimore Ravens last week, and he grabbed one that essentially ended the game yesterday.
"I come from a small college (Central Michigan) and it's rare that players like me reach the Super Bowl so quickly. Several players have never participated in the Super Bowl, or even the playoffs. I consider myself very fortunate, "expressed Brown, who said he had received advice from Ben Roethlisberger after the tiebreak.
"He told me that I had managed a very nice game for the second consecutive week, then he told me to continue in the same way and stay humble."
